Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda is the Chief Executive of Rozaria Memorial Trust, the organisation she found in memory of her late mother, to promote access to quality education, health and entrepreneurship for young people in resource poor communities.
Ms Gumbonzvanda is the Africa Union Goodwill Ambassador on Ending Child Marriages. A Zimbabwean national, she is a trained human rights lawyer with extensive experience in conflict resolution and mediation. For 25 years, she has worked on issues of women and children’s human rights, with a special focus on crisis countries, violence against women, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and HIV and AIDS.
She held positions within the United Nations for 10 years, serving as Regional Director for the United Nations Development Fund for Women in Eastern and Horn of Africa., and as a human rights officer with UNICEF in Liberia and Zimbabwe. She served as a member of the UN Commission on Information and Accountability on Women and Children’s Health. She also served as interim coordinator for the Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association during its formation; and a law officer in the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs in Zimbabwe. She served as General Secretary of the World YWCA from 2007 to 2016. She is the current Chair of Action Aid International Board.
Ms. Gumbonzvanda holds a Master’s degree in Private Law with specialization in Constitutional Property Law from the University of South Africa and completed postgraduate work on conflict resolution at Uppsala University, Sweden.

Kudakwashe Stephen Dizha
Kudakwashe is the first Coordinator and has been with the Trust since 2007 when we officially started the programmes in Murewa.
He has a background in Accountancy, and has received training in programme monitoring and evaluation. Kudakwashe has represented the Trust in many forums including the UN Commission on the Status of Women in 2010.
Colleta joined Rozaria Memorial Trust as Programme Officer in 2008. She holds a degree in HIV Management and Administration from the University of Chinhoyi.
She has had been central to RMT’s HIV programmes, and especially the focus on children and women. Colleta represents the Trust in the Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe; and co-chairs the Communications Working Group for the GBV Prevention Network for East and Southern Africa.
Hilda joined Rozaria Memorial Trust in 2008 and is responsible for administration and events management. She administered the scholarship programme for children living with HIV.
She holds a certificate in counselling, and she is also completing a Diploma in Community Development.
Hilda is so committed to children with strong skills in interpersonal relationships. Before joining the Trust Hilda was in sales in a clothing retail chain in Zimbabwe.
Ruwadzano joined Rozaria Memorial Trust in September 2016 as the Communications and Partnership Assistant.
She holds a Degree in Development Studies and has a passion in working with young women and girls. She has been in the development field for 5 years working on HIV/AIDS programs, water and sanitation and sexual and reproductive health rights. Before joining the Trust she worked at the YWCA of Zimbabwe as a Programs Assistant where she started an initiative called “hands that Help” to assist orphaned and disadvantaged children.
Blessed joined the Trust in October 2016. He is a hardworking and committed young man on internship serving as a Programs Assistant. Currently he is partaking an undergraduate BA honors in Theology and Religious Studies degree at Midlands State University.
Working with the needy, vulnerable children and advocating for girls freedom in various spaces within their life are some of his passions.
Apart from being a Programs Assistant, Blessed also assist in the Communications Department of the Trust and have some knowledge in various computer packages and softwares.
Kudakwashe Dizha (Snr)
Kudakwashe joined Rozaria Memorial Trust in October 2016. He is the one responsible for community mobilization and engagement. Kudakwashe was responsible for community mobilization for the research on Ending Child Marriages which he mobilized communities from 8 villages. he has a keen interest in working with young women and girls especially on their health rights.
He grew up in the Apostolic sect and has a passion and has a passion in ensuring that he breaks cycle and the myths that comes with the religion in terms of health and vaccination of children.
