Rozaria Memorial Trust Is Proud To Be Part of the 16 Days of Activism Campaign
Rozaria Memorial Trust is engaged to be part of the 16 days of activism. The international campaign which starts on 25th of November to 5th of December every year which promotes an end to gender based violence.
As with the previous years, the color orange holds a special symbolic meaning to the campaign, which was started in 1991 by the first Women’s Global Leadership Institute, at Rutgers University.
It has since has grown in strength with 164 countries and 3 700 organizations taking part. UNWomen one of the key organisations taking part stated
No matter where violence against women happens, what form it takes, and whom it impacts, it must be stopped. The promise of the Sustainable Development Goals—to leave no one behind—cannot be fulfilled without ending violence against women.
The theme for this year is,”Leave No One Behind: End Violence against Women and Girls.” We are proud to stand by fellow organisations and individuals who believe in that goal.
Rozaria Memorial Trust has a number of events which we have lined up. This is part of our work to end gender based violence. It is important however for everyone to take part in an important initiative and do their part to bring an end to this problem.
