Activist Luci Chikowero and Rozaria Girls Club USA has started a campaign to donate feminine hygiene products
Activist Luci Chikowero and Rozaria Girls Club USA has started a campaign to give feminine hygiene products to the homeless in the United States and underprivileged girls in Zimbabwe.
The initiative is based around the idea that for each feminine hygiene product brought for personal use, you can buy an extra to donate.
It is powerful to note that it is young girls who are pushing the program.
“They noticed a huge challenge for homeless girls and for those they interact with in Zimbabwe and decided to act in their very small ways. Now every month when they buy their own feminine hygiene to use they buy one extra pack to donate to their peers.” Luci Chikowero
The sanitary pads will be handed over during March of 2018.
With this deadline in mind Rozaria Memorial Trust is calling out to all donors and volunteers to donate to this initiative. It is with each person giving, that we can make a change in our communities. RMT Girls Club United States has shown that it only takes the desire and willingness for change to make a positive impact.
